General provisions
These service terms and conditions outline the basic conditions, terms and obligations between the seller, LAC Asia Ltd. Nathan Commercial Bldg 8-A, 430-436 Nathan Road, Yaumatai, Kowloon, Hong Kong, and the distributor in obtaining repair and related services, both warranty and post-warranty.
Other service terms and conditions may be arranged between the distributor and LAC Asia Ltd on the basis of a separate agreement signed by both parties.
Claims procedure
Claims are accepted by the LAC Asia service department
in written paper format using the form RJ-S-08-P01 Service-claim-requirements in which the seller records contact details of the distributor, furnace type, serial number, detailed description of the defect, and service location, or by e-mail to service@lacasia.net.
Upon receipt of the claim, the service department will contact the distributor to discuss the repair and warranty eligibility.
Unless stated otherwise in the purchase contract, upon warranty claim submission and receipt of detailed description and photo of the defect, LAC Asia will confirm the validity of the claim and ship any necessary replacement parts. Upon receiving the parts, the distributor's authorised personnel will begin the repair work. There is no warranty on consumables, as outlines in the detailed description of warranty for end user (General Delivery and Warranty Terms and Conditions) on http://lacasia.net/Service.asp
Warranty service will be carried out by the distributor's own service technician, wherever possible. LAC will provide all materials necessary for the repair free of charge and will also cover shipping costs of the material to the place of installation. If a service technician from LAC is required, the distributor will cover the technician's transport costs according to the LAC Asia repair service price list. The distributor will cover transportation and accommodation for the service technician.
Should LAC determine that it is necessary to ship the equipment back to the LAC facility for warranty repairs, LAC will cover the return FCA shipping costs for this shipment, as well as all warranty repairs and materials. If, however, upon receipt of the furnace at the LAC factory, it should be determined that the repair is not eligible for warranty, the distributor will be informed and all return (round trip) shipping, materials and associated repair costs will be borne by the distributor. All associated costs will be calculated according to the LAC Asia repair service price list.
Should the distributor require that LAC carry out warranty service in a foreign country, the distributor will provide the service technicians and materials required for the repair. The technicians will issue a statement of warranty repair including a description of the repair, an overview of associated costs, and the signature and stamp of the distributor. A copy of this statement will be given to the distributor. LAC will cover all applicable material at the repair site based on the terms listed in the LAC repair service price list. The distributor will cover service technicians' personnel and transportation costs. The distributor will cover service technicians' accommodations abroad, and return transportation costs of the service technicians and materials from the Czech border to the service location.
Post-warranty repairs
Post-warranty repairs are done on the basis of an order from the distributor, and are charged based on the current LAC repair service price list. The repairs may be done at the manufacturer's or on-site at the place of equipment installation. The repair schedule will be determined based on agreement between the distributor and LAC Asia.
Conditions for acceptance of products into service
The distributor must submit the whole, complete, and cleaned product.
LAC Asia reserves the right to not accept a product
that is very dirty or contaminated with dangerous chemicals or by-products
that has been used for other purposes than the intended, according to the the manufacturer's product technical documentation
that has been modified in a manner that is is compliant with the technical documentation or valid regulations
Warranty terms and conditions
The definition of an item eligible for warranty and exclusions to such as applicable can be found in the LAC General Delivery and Warranty Terms and Conditions for end-users on http://lacasia.net/Service.asp. The warranty period on service repairs in 6 months. This limitation does not apply to free warranty repair cases covered in the LAC General Delivery and Warranty Terms and Conditions.
Service contracts
LAC offers to distributors who require additional maintenance service beyond the scope of those in the standard service terms and conditions the option of signing an additional service contract which is tailor-made to fulfil specific customer requirements regarding the time, place and manner of service done.
